‘Tranquil’ as name suggests is an answer to many questions for Orani town, offering solution in a form of accommodation facility which brings appreciation for ‘hidden Jem’ the Nivola Museum. This museum as mentioned in a brief is a product of multi-layered efforts by different architect to contribute to Costantino Nivolas work. To add to these efforts, we decided to give unique but simple solution to the problem of ‘take-away- tourism’, where tourist would like to engage their time for the Nivola Museum and exploring the Orani town. Hence, we made a concept which can bring past, present and future together which is the most relevant for Museums as they bring historical significance of the artefact and where it is exhibited. We conceptualized our design in such a way that it would bring the architectural elements from the Nivola museum back into the accommodation facility as well as used the plain external white façade of the museum as a finishing material. Furthermore, placement of the structures is a primary concern as we did not want to block the view of the museum from the city. Hence, we decided to place the structures between the trees on a flat land wherever possible and partially on the hill elevating for magnificent view of the Orani Town. We brought the sculptural quality in the design by placing them strategically on different levels and targeted different user groups and made different facility to approach the design individualistically.
